Sausage Gravy

The perfect compliment to a plate of freshly baked biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 4 Tbsps butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 5 cups 2% or whole milk
  • 1-2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • First, brown the sausage in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add butter and let it melt.
  • Once butter is melted, mix in flour until incorporated.
  • Let it cook a couple of minutes to brown the flour.
  • Add 2 cups of milk and let everything thicken, stirring constantly.
  • Next, add salt and pepper.
  • Once bubbling, add the rest of the milk and let it all thicken.
  • Serve over your favorite biscuits or toast. You may need more pepper… don’t be shy.
