First, brown the sausage in a pan over medium heat.
Add butter and let it melt.
Once butter is melted, mix in flour until incorporated.
Let it cook a couple of minutes to brown the flour.
Add 2 cups of milk and let everything thicken, stirring constantly.
Next, add salt and pepper.
Once bubbling, add the rest of the milk and let it all thicken.
Serve over your favorite biscuits or toast. You may need more pepper… don’t be shy.
