Here are the things you’ll need to make this chocolate goodness:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla

This is how to make them just like me:

First off, mix flour, salt and baking soda.

In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar.

Then, add egg and vanilla; Mix completely.

Slowly add dry mix into your dough until throughly incorporated but don’t over mix.

Next, fold in the chocolate chips.

Put the dough in the fridge until ice cold (about 30 mins).

Then, bake at 350°F for 11-15 minutes, depending on cookie sizes.

Once the cookies are out of the oven, carefully put them on a cooling rack for at least 10 mins to let cookie set up.

  1. I would have to double the recipe and I put double the chocolate chips always my kids love them very chocolate forward. The kids are grown now but still request them . I only buy salted butter too

  2. Yeah not terribly impressed these cookies went flat. Compression yes I chilled my dough. that much butter I probably should have not spooned my flour to measure but should have dipped it to give it more body. Otherwise they taste good they just look awful

These are the best cookies I have ever made! And they are picture perfect. A doubled batch made 4 dozen with a little dough left over.

I spooned the flour and white sugar when measuring. I baked them 13 minutes and they held a great round shape.

Thank you for this perfect recipe!

Tried the trick of refrigerating the dough for 30 minutes…my ADHD self got distracted and it turned into hours 😅 Dough was solid and impossible to scoop. About 30 minutes out on the counter put us back on track to making the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made! If I could give these more than 5 stars I would! Thank you for all the great recipes.

  6. I cannot wait to try these cookies. I’ve made many batch of cookies and I’m looking for the perfect recipe, hopefully this is it! Can’t wait to try them! I’m going to use Butterscotch and Chocolate Chips in mine, my oldest son just requested that I make him some this weekend, so we’ll see. Thank you! Absolutely love your recipes and family!! God Bless!🙏❤️😊
