Cinnamon Roll Flat Cakes

You most definitely want to add this recipe to your arsenal of breakfast ideas. These are sweet and a crowd pleaser! Pair some of these flat cakes with a side of bacon and you have a yummy breakfast.

Here’s what you need to make this recipe:

Pancakes

  • 4 cups Pancake mix
  • 2 1/2-3 cups Water

Cinnamon Roll Topping

  • 2 sticks melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1-2 tbsps cinnamon

Icing

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsps melted butter
  • 3 tsp of vanilla
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Let’s get cooking!

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Then, mix the pancake mix and water until smooth and pour evenly over a parchment lined or lightly greased, full sized baking sheet.

In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon roll topping ingredients and stir until thickened and smooth.

Next, pour the topping over the pancake batter and mix in with dowel rod or spoon in a criss cross design so everything is evenly distributed.

Bake 15-16 minutes at 400°F.

While cooling, combine icing ingredients in bowl and mix until there are no clumps and then pour over pancakes while warm so icing spreads easier.

Cut and enjoy!
