Low Iodine BBQ Sauce
This bbq sauce was created and added to our website due to my wife going on a special low iodine diet for her cancer treatments. If you’re looking for a similar situation recipe, try this one out! She said it was pretty good, especially considering she was limited on what ingredients she could eat. Here’s my crockpot bbq chicken recipe!

Here is what you’ll need to make this bbq sauce:
- 14oz No salt added ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsps honey
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Himalayan salt

Let’s get cooking!
In a sauce pot, add all of the ingredients over medium heat, whisking occasionally until combined and thickened. This usually takes 3-5 minutes once boiling.

Remove from heat and let cool before placing in a mason jar or squeeze bottle. Keep in the refrigerator.
