Let’s get cooking this mouth waterin’ goodness!

Starting out, add your oil to a medium heat pan. Once the pan is coated, add in sausage.

Next, add in green pepper and onion, cooking until soft, stirring occasionally.

Add and stir in all seasonings.

Once the green peppers are soft and onions are translucent, push the food to the perimeter of the pan to create a hole/space in the middle of the pan.

Add the rice into the center of the pan, stirring until toasted to a beautiful golden brown.

Add drained can of diced tomatoes and hot sauce. Mix and pour in chicken broth. If you forgot to drain the can, use half a cup less chicken broth.

Cover and let simmer 15 to 25 minutes or until the rice is done, stirring occasionally.

Add in chopped shrimp. Cover and let sit 5 minutes. Shrimp will be done when the color is changed to opaque and firm.

Garnish with green onion and serve.
